More productivity tips

Sometimes there seems like there isn't a light at the end of the tunnel and no matter how many tasks we complete, our task list keeps getting bigger.  Here are a few more tips to help make your day more productive.

  • Learn when to say no - Be realistic about your time and consisder short and long term goals when evaluating a new opportunity.
  • Ask for help - No one can do everything.  Ask co-workers for help when necessary and when you do, focus on the desired outcome, not the process.  This will allow them to complete the tasks in their own way.
  • Leverage Technology - Technology is always advancing and will provide you with opportunities to streamline your work.  The advancements need not be earth shattering; little things add up to incremental time savings!
  • Rethink your routine - Are your routine tasks still contributing to the success of your group or organization?  Are there more efficient ways to get your routine tasks done?
  • Write it down - Good ideas will come to you in different ways at any time.  You can not remember the all.  Carry a notebook and write down good ideas when the come to you!
