Earth Hour 2010

In 2007 2.2 million homes and businesses in Sydney, Australia turned off their lights for 60 minutes. This stand against climate change was called Earth Hour.  In March of 2009, just two years later, hundreds of millions of people participated in Earth Hour.  Over 4,000 cities in 88 countries took part in what was the world's largest climate change initiative to date.

In 2010 we challenge you to do better!  In honor of Earth Hour we would like for you to share with us what your plans are for participating.  The first 20 qualifying respondents will receive an "earth friendly" gift.  Click here to tell us your participation story.

We at Office Plus are encouraging our staff, dealers and customers to take part in this global event.  We also encourage you to look beyond March 27th at 8:30pm and ask yourself what you can do to help our global environment.  Everyone can help make a difference!  Need ideas or inspiration?  

•  Take public transit
•  Make sure your washing machine and dishwasher are full before running
•  Use compact florescent bulbs
•  Turn off lights when you leave a room
•  Unplug unused computers, printers, fax machines and photocopiers - all electrical devices use power when plugged in
